We want you to write for us!
GameCrate is looking for a few good freelance writers! If you're a talented writer who knows about computer hardware and/or gaming and you want to contribute (in exchange for money, of course) then we hope you'll consider joining the GameCrate team. There are just a few things you need to know first.
- We can currently only work with freelancers who are 18 and over and who DO NOT live in one of the following states: DE, FL, GA, IA, KY, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NH, NY, OK, PA, SC, VA, VT, WI, WY or those who live outside the United States (determined on a per-country basis). We know, it's an annoying restriction, but it's one we have to follow. We are owned and operated by Newegg.com, a digital retailer that must abide by U.S. state tax laws.
- Pay will be per-article and based on article type. We'll be looking for editorials, trend stories, reviews, previews, and game and hardware guides.
- Our top priority right now is to find experienced writers who know the ins and outs of the current gaming industry, play the newest games, keeps up with the latest gaming trends and discussions. As for PC hardware, we're looking for enthusiasts who can write at a professional level about the latest hardware components and the intricacies of building a PC. Industry connections are a big plus for both gaming writers and hardware writers.
If you're interested, get a few writing samples together, a resume, a paragraph about yourself, your current game playlist, and send them to us (email@example.com) in an e-mail with "GameCrate freelancer application" in the subject line. Hope to hear from you soon!
