We Happy Few delayed to this summer
We Happy Few was announced back in 2015 and went into early access on Steam in 2016 with fans hoping for a full launch in 2017. But in August 2017, developer Compulsion Games announced that We Happy Few would launch on April 13, 2018. That date has now changed.
In a blog post and video today, Compulsion Games’ Sam Abbott and Guillaume Provost announced that the game needs more polish and restructuring and they’re delaying until this summer.
“There are these moments that are memorable, very funny, and super weird and we’re really excited to show you all,” said Sam Abbott, producer for We Happy Few. “But we felt that the first two hours of Arthur’s story just didn’t live up to those moments, meaning that the game didn’t start as well as it should. So we went back to the drawing board and made a couple of big decisions: we brought forward a number of story moments, to get into the action faster, and also rebuilt the whole first island for Arthur.”
The devs have also added Sally, a second playable character to the game.
