Valve announces Steam Games Festival: Summer Edition coming in June
Last month, Valve hosted the Spring Edition of Steam Games Festival last month in place of the postponed Game Developer’s Conference. Now Valve is doing the same for the canceled E3 2020.
The Steam Games Festival: Summer Edition is happening June 9-14, the same days E3 2020 was supposed to happen. The Festival allows developers to share game demos and experiences of their upcoming games with gamers across the globe. In addition, players will be able to connect with developers and add the upcoming games to their wishlists.
Journalist and The Game Awards founder, Geoff Keighley is also helping out behind the scenes and added that the festival will also happen across platforms. There’s no other word on what else will happen around the event, but you can visit the official page and sign up for a reminder of when it launches.
For the past few months I've thought a lot about new global and digital ways we could celebrate games the summer. Today the announcement of the Steam Game Festival: Summer Edition is the first preview of what's coming together. The Festival will also expand to more platforms. pic.twitter.com/Cl2mDtRCi2
