Update: Injustice 2 is getting an online beta

Original Story:

Injustice 2 is quickly shaping up to be one of the most highly anticipated fighting games of 2017, and if the latest tease from NetherRealm head Ed Boon is any indication, it looks like fans might get to play it ahead of its May release date.

Boon, a man who enjoys torturing fans of his studio’s games with cryptic teases, recently took to Twitter to share this tweet. In case you’re not fluent in Ancient Greek, the image Boon is showing in the tweet displays the beginning of the Ancient Greek alphabet, though there appears to be one symbol missing. What’s the missing symbol you may ask?

Naturally Boom failed to elaborate on his cryptic tweet, but if his tease is going in the direction which many fans think it’s going in, it looks like Injustice 2 will be getting a beta of some kind at some point over the next few months. There’s certainly plenty of time for a beta to happen since Injustice 2 isn’t set to launch until May 16.

Shortly after Ed Boon’s original tease, he took to Twitter once again to confirm the coming of what is being called an “online beta” for Injustice 2. A start date for the beta hasn’t yet been announced but interested fans can sign up for it here.
