TOME: Immortal Arena set to release on Steam Nov. 21

Promising to be more intuitive and fast-paced than other MOBAs like Dota 2 and League of Legends, TOME: Immortal Arena brings the battle arena genre back to its brawler roots. Developed by KIXEYE, the upcoming free-to-play game removes conventional MOBA mechanics like last-hitting, hero builds, and returning to base fountains for healing in favor of combat and action.

It will be interesting to see if TOME: Immortal Arena is able to distinguish itself from the crowded marketplace of free-to-play MOBAs. While the game is currently in closed beta, developer Rade Stojsavljevic, has a good feeling that his game will be a instant success once released on Steam. “Every design decision in TOME: Immortal Arena, translates to a faster-paced, more action focused player experience,”  he said. Stojsavljevic, who also worked on the Command and Conquer and Blade Runner titles, believes the distilled MOBA experience will cater both to experienced players and newcomers alike.
