Sony buys Spider-man developer, Insomniac Games

After an incredibly successful year and launch for Spider-man on PlayStation 4 in 2018, Sony is locking down the game’s developer, Insomniac Games.

Sony has just announced its acquisition of Insomniac Games after its years of collaborations with the studio, who also developed the Ratchet & Clank games, Spyro the Dragon, and Resistance. Insomniac Games will be the 14th studio under the PlayStation umbrella.

There’s no word on what the next project will be for Insomniac, but fans are corssing their fingers for a Spider-man sequel.
