Skater XL coming in July

It’s been more than a decade since we’ve had a true skateboarding video game, 2010’s Skate 3 (and no, we’re not counting 2015’s Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5), so there’s an obvious void that needs to be filled. Skater XL has been in early access since last year and this summer it’s looking to fill that skateboarding void with a full release.

Developer Easy Day Studios announced Skater XL will arrive on July 7 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC. The developer also announced partnerships with major skating brands like Santa Cruz Skateboards, VANS, Element, Bones, Transworld Skateboarding and more.

The game takes place in the Los Angeles area featuring major skateboarding hotspots and stars real life skateboarding pros Tiago Lemos, Evan Smith, Tom Asta and Brandon Westgate.
