Showtime's Halo TV show finds its Master Chief

The long gestating Halo TV series is finally and officially in development for Showtime. And now that its official fans have been asking is who will be Master Chief?

The answer is Pablo Schreiber. You may know him as the leprechaun, Mad Sweeney, from the Starz series, American Gods or George ‘Pornstache’ Mendez from Orange is the New Black.

For the Halo series, Master Chief is described as “Earth’s most advanced warrior in the 26th century and the only hope of salvation for a civilization pushed to the brink of destruction by the Covenant, an unstoppable alliance of alien worlds committed to the destruction of humanity,” according to Deadline.

Other casting news for the show includes Yerin Ha who will portray Quan Ah, a teenager from the Outer Colonies who meets Master Chief and a new character in the Halo universe.

Production for the show begins this fall in Budapest, Hungary with a possible premiere in early 2020.
