Rise of the Tomb Raider 20 Year Celebration gets a launch trailer

With less than a week to go before Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics release the newly revamped Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration for PlayStation 4, it seems only fitting that the re-release would get its own launch trailer.

Of course, calling Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration a re-release is a bit of an understatement. Not only does the release mark the first time Rise of the Tomb Raider is available on PlayStation 4 (following a year of exclusivity on Xbox One and PC), it also comes loaded with a bunch of new content. This content includes smaller additions like a series of classic “skins” for protagonist Lara Croft and a new “Extreme Survivor” difficulty level, as well as more substantial additions like the brand new “Blood Ties” story chapter, the new “Lara’s Nightmare” bonus mode, and a new co-op multiplayer version of the game’s Endurance mode. Even better, the 20 Year Celebration version also comes with all previously released DLC content, making it into the true definitive edition of Rise of the Tomb Raider.

If you’re still playing Rise of the Tomb Raider on either PC or Xbox One, you’ll get all of the new 20 Year Celebration content for free as long as you own the game’s season pass. No matter what platform you’re on, however, you should make sure to log into the game at least once during the 20 Year Celebration launch week so that you can claim your 100,000 in-game credits.
