Nintendo docu-series coming to Crackle in March
Nintendo has a very long history with intricate and intimate stories throughout the different eras of its existence. A new five-episode docu-series, Playing With Power: The Nintendo Story, is determined to explore the company’s history when it launches on Crackle on March 1.
The series will feature interviews with game industry heavy hitters like former Nintendo CEO Reggie Fils-Aimé, co-founder of Nintendo America, Ron Judy, and head of Xbox Phil Spencer, along with well-known personalities in the gaming and geekspace like Wil Wheaton, Alison Haislip, Cliff Bleszinski, Zombi Unicorn, and others.
The series looks to document the company's origins in the late 1800s, its growth to becoming a household name in the 1980s, and the ups and downs the company faced to reach its success in the present day.
The docu-series is narrated and executive produced by Sean Astin (Stranger Things, Lord of the Rings) and written and directed by Jeremy Snead (Video Games: The Movie). Check out the series first trailer below:
