The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time now available for Wii U

Nintendo has been doing a great job of re-releasing several of its Nintendo 64 hits for the Wii U, in the form of digital Virtual Console games. Now, another fundamental title is joining the bunch – and it's yours for an ocarina song.

As part of its weekly update on the Wii U's eShop, Nintendo has released the digital version of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. This is the original 1999 Nintendo 64 release that became such a huge favorite to fans, and continues to be a classic by today's standards (Nintendo even gave it a fitting re-release on 3DS a little while back).

The game will run you $9.99, and won't take that long to download at all. It's certainly worth it if you feel like exploring old-school territory on your Wii U – and just in time for the Fourth of July weekend as well.
