King of Fighters XV revealed, Samurai Shodown Season Pass 3 announced
King of Fighters fans have been waiting more than four years for the next installment of the game, and 2021 is the year it’s arriving. In a special presentation, developers SNK revealed the first trailer for King of Fighters XV, the follow-up to 2016’s King of Fighters XIV.
While the trailer seems to keep the same frenetic fighting game aesthetic that players have come to love, creative director Eisuke Ogura said they’re adding new elements to the game to make it more exciting, plus upping the sound and the visuals to heights that were impossible when they were developing KOF XIV.
Ogura also said the game is nearing the end of its development and as of right now, the team is polishing its features and optimizing the game, but pretty much gave a guarantee the game will launch in 2021. Check out the reveal trailer below:
In addition to the KOFXV reveal, SNK also shared what fans can expect for Samurai Shodown’s Season Pass 3. New characters include Cham Cham, coming in March, and Hibiki Takane (of The Last Blade 2) coming sometime later this year along with two more unannounced characters. Check out the trailer below:
