Injustice 2 sure has had a lot of trailers, huh?
Injustice 2, the DC Comics fighting game from the Mortal Kombat crew over at NetherRealm, is finally coming out tomorrow, May 16. We've played a bit of it and it looks really good, even if you're not usually into competitive fighting games.
The game has been in the "get hyped!" period for about a year now, since June of 2016, and during the past year it very well may have set some sort of record for "Most different official trailers ever released for one single game." I'm not exactly sure how to look that up to confirm it, but seriously...there have been so many trailers.
You can watch the official launch trailer up above in this article, and we have to assume this is the final pre-launch trailer for Injustice 2. This trailer follows an enormous series of character spotlight trailers, a five-part story trailer called "Shattered Alliances," trailers which highlighted specific groupings of characters like villains and women, multiple gameplay tutorials, and even a handy "Everything you need to know" video to catch you up on what you may have missed if you haven't watched all of the 30+ other trailers for the game. And that's not even counting the videos released for the Injustice 2 mobile tie-in game!
The video PR folks at Warner Bros. Interactive have been burning the candle at both ends, but now that Injustice 2 is finally coming out they can get some rest...
Except for all the trailers for DLC content they are going to have to make.
