Injustice 2 free console trial available until December 18
NetherRealm has kicked off a limited-time free trial for Injustice 2 which lets interested fans on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 try out both the game’s single-player and multiplayer offerings entirely for free.
The trial is now live and will remain so until Monday, December 18. Trial players can sample the first three chapters of Injustice 2’s robust story mode experience and partake in the full online multiplayer suite of fighters and modes. One caveat is that an active Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus subscription is required to access the free trial, even if you have no interest in Injustice 2’s online components.
Fortunately, as with most other free game trials, any progress made during the trial (including story mode chapters, online progression, and collected gear crates) will carry over if a player chooses to upgrade to the full Injustice 2 experience. Also, as a bonus incentive for those who already own Injustice 2, existing players who log in during the free trial period will be given 2,000 Source Crystals (premium currency) for free.
Now’s a great time to give Injustice 2 a try since its seventh DLC character, The Atom, just recently joined the game’s roster, and two more DLC additions will be coming in the near future: Enchantress and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
