Injustice 2’s Raiden and Black Lightning DLC is now live
NetherRealm has announced the launch of Mortal Kombat’s Raiden for Injustice 2, the second of three new DLC characters included in the game’s second Fighter Pack and the fifth overall DLC fighter to join the roster.
Raiden’s release comes mere days before the Mortal Kombat series’ 25th anniversary (October 8), and he’s actually the second Mortal Kombat character to cross over into the DC brawler sequel following the previously released Sub-Zero. Fans who’d rather stick to the DC side of the roster also needn’t worry since Raiden also comes with a premier skin which transforms him into the DC hero Black Lightning.
All players who own either Fighter Pack #2 or Injustice 2’s Ultimate/Digital Deluxe edition now have access to Raiden, and Black Lightning is also available for free to all Ultimate Edition owners (he can also be purchased standalone). After Raiden, the next DLC character on deck is fellow guest character Hellboy.
