Injustice 2’s 1.09 patch sets the stage for Raiden DLC
Mortal Kombat’s iconic god of thunder Raiden will be the fifth DLC character to join the roster of Injustice 2, and while he won’t officially arrive until sometime next month, NetherRealm has released a sizeable new patch for the DC fighting game sequel that lays the groundwork for his impending release.
According to patch 1.09’s official notes, the patch mainly consists of minor tweaks for specific existing fighters and stages, though there are a few more exciting changes such as the fact Legendary tier items have seen an across-the-board increase in stat values and characters like Black Adam, Deadshot, Catwoman, Supergirl, Scarecrow, and more now have their own Legendary Multiverse portals (portals which should make acquiring Legendary gear easier for those characters).
The 1.09 patch has also added in the files for both Raiden and his Black Lightning premier skin, though naturally players will have to wait until NetherRealm actually releases the characters before they can play as them. Raiden will be free for those who own either Injustice 2’s Ultimate edition or the game’s second fighter pack, and Ultimate Edition owners will also get free access to the Black Lightning premier skin.
