Horizon Zero Dawn coming to PC this summer
When Horizon Zero Dawn arrived on PlayStation 4 in 2017, it was lauded as one of the best games of the year. The game was a PlayStation 4-exclusive, meaning you couldn’t play the game anywhere but a PS4 console. That will change this summer.
In an interview with the PlayStation Blog, Hermen Hulst, the former managing director of Guerrilla Games and now the head of Sony’s Worldwide Studios, announced Horizon Zero Dawn will be coming to PC.
“I can confirm that Horizon Zero Dawn is coming to PC this summer,” Hulst said. “There will be more information coming from Guerrilla, from the new studio directors pretty soon.”
And while the announcement excited many PC gamers, Hulst warned not to expect other PlayStation exclusives to hit the PC market any time soon.
“And to maybe put a few minds at ease, releasing one first-party AAA title to PC doesn’t necessarily mean that every game now will come to PC,” he added. “In my mind, Horizon Zero Dawn was just a great fit in this particular instance. We don’t have plans for day and date , and we remain 100% committed to dedicated hardware.”
The Steam page for Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition (which includes the Frozen Wilds expansion) is up now, but we still don’t have a release date or PC spec recommendations.
