Harry Potter RPG, Hogwarts Legacy, delayed to 2022
Last fall, Harry Potter fans were excited to learn that they would finally be able to attend the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry sometime this year in the upcoming role-playing game, Hogwarts Legacy. Unfortunately, young witches and wizards are going to have to wait a little bit longer.
On the official Hogwarts Legacy Twitter account, the developers announced that we won’t be seeing the game until 2022.
“We would like to thank fans from around the world on the tremendous reaction to the announcement of Hogwarts Legacy from our Portkey Games label,” the statement said. “Creating the best possible experience for all of the Wizarding World and gaming fans is paramount to us so we are giving the game the time it needs. Hogwarts Legacy will be released in 2022.”

The game is being developed by Avalanche Studios, the same studio behind games like Disney Infinity, Rage 2, Mad Max, and Just Cause 4. For those unaware, the game will take place after events of the Harry Potter books and films, in the 1800s. The game, however, allows players to create and build up their own character, choose their Hogwarts House, and learn various spells and abilities to set forth on their own journey and adventure.
