Harley Quinn and Deadshot are joining Injustice 2’s roster

NetherRealm has unveiled the two newest confirmed additions to the Injustice 2 roster, returning combatant Harley Quinn and new blood Deadshot.

The reveal is likely in response to Warner Bros’ recently launched Suicide Squad film since Harley and Deadshot are both regular members of the squad. Harley Quinn was also part of the playable roster for Injustice: Gods Among Us, but for the sequel it looks like she’s sporting some new tools of destruction such as a baseball bat and a special attack which involves her two pet hyenas, Bud and Lou.

Deadshot appeared in Injustice: Gods Among Us as a background detail in the game’s Stryker’s Island stage, and he was also later added in as a playable character in the game’s mobile version. However, his appearance in Injustice 2 marks the first time players will be able to control him in an actual non-mobile Injustice game. Judging from the trailer, he’ll have his usual assortment of firearms (including his signature wrist-mounted guns) and he’ll also be able to mix it up with close-range hand-to-hand attacks as well.

Injustice 2 is set to launch sometime in 2017 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
