The Halo: Master Chief Collection is finally coming to PC

PC fans rejoice! Halo: The Master Chief Collection is finally coming to Windows.

The first and second entries in the storied franchise are the only ones that were ever ported to PC, and that was more than a decade ago.

Looks like that’s finally changing.

While the idea of a collection that has all the Halo games in one massive bundle is certainly appealing, that’s not quite how the remastered titles are rolling out to the Microsoft Store and Steam. It looks like they’ll be released independently, one at a time, and in chronological order. This will be the first time titles like Halo 3, ODST, Reach and the fourth entry will be available on PC, with all the extra features like higher resolutions and (presumably) better performance.

For those who already own the Master Chief Collection on Xbox, the longtime home of the franchise, you’ll finally have the opportunity to play the long-requested Halo: Reach, as it’s being added to the collection as well.

According to Brian Jarrard, Community Director at 343 Industries, “We’re embarking on a journey with our community to build a PC experience that delivers on PC gamer expectations. The team is passionately committed to ensuring that all of the features, bells, and whistles expected in a modern PC title are included with MCC.”

There hasn't been any pricing information announced, but we’ll keep you posted.
