Earlier this week, we were treated to the long-awaited Grand Theft Auto VI trailer. Unfortunately, Rockstar Games had to make the decision to drop it early due to the trailer being leaked. But, fortunately, it doesn’t seem to have impacted their numbers.

The Grand Theft Auto V reveal trailer from 12 years ago has a whopping 101 million views currently, which is an extremely impressive number! However, it is not nearly as impressive as GTA VI surpassing that in just a couple days since it dropped! As of writing, the trailer has over 107 million views (and counting), after only being out for two days. There’s no doubt that this number will continue to climb in the coming weeks.

GTA 6 is easily one of the most viewed game trailers of all time beating out trailers from beloved franchises like The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario, and even doubling Call of Duty’s biggest reveal trailer. Shack News did a full breakdown on their site.

It’s really no surprise to see as players have been waiting a long time for the Grand Theft Auto franchise to come back. Seeing a modern take on Vice City has been a massive hype factor for the player base. We’ve covered the trailer from the perspective of our very own Florida man, so if you want to know how accurate the vibes are, you’ll want to catch his analysis. Personally, I think it’s about time that we saw the introduction of a female protagonist and I’m excited to see what Lucia can bring to the table.

Needless to say, the first trailer has been met with extreme interest and I have no doubt that any trailers that drop in the future will be met with just as much excitement.

Sadly, we won’t be seeing this installment drop until 2025. So, if you still haven’t yet tried the 10-year-old Grand Theft Auto V, you can pick up a copy now for a great price and play GTA Online while you wait.
