Final Fantasy X and X-2 coming to PC via Steam
The high definition remasters of both Final Fantasy X and its sequel Final Fantasy X-2 will be available on PC via Steam in just two days, allowing fans of both games to revisit them from the comfort of their home computers.
According to this Steam listing (which was later corroborated by this tweet on the official Final Fantasy Twitter account), a bundle which includes both Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 will become available via Steam on May 12 (this coming Thursday). The Steam versions of both games will include partial controller support, Steam Achievements, Steam Trading Cards, and Steam Cloud Saves.
Much like the PlayStation 4 remasters which were released last year, the Steam versions of both games will include enhanced graphics, an auto-save function, both Japanese and English voice options, and five different “enhancements” such as a no encounter mode and a toggle to speed the game up.
A price for the Steam bundle of Final Fantasy X/X-2 hasn’t been confirmed yet, though fortunately fans won’t have to wait long to find out.
