Fatshark announces it is working on Warhammer: Vermintide 2
Warhammer: Vermintide, the cult-hit co-op title that blends Left 4 Dead-style gameplay with the Warhammer fantasy setting, is officially getting a sequel that’s aptly titled Warhammer: Vermintide 2.
For now, little is known about the sequel other than what is written in the synopsis of its recently added Steam page:
“Warhammer: Vermintide 2 is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Vermintide. It’s time for players to return to the memorable first-person co-op experience with intense world class melee action.
Set in the dark and grim Warhammer Fantasy world, you must join forces with up to three other players to tackle the endless hordes of enemies. Equipped with a variety of melee and ranged weapons, you and your team are all that stands between utter defeat and victory - and if you fall so will the Empire.”
One can assume that the sequel will have improvements like better graphics, expanded gameplay, and new playable character classes, but sadly we won’t find out more until the worldwide reveal which Fatshark plans to kick off on October 17. In the meantime, it’s probably best to prepare yourself for even more en masse Skaven-slaying.
