Ed Boon teases upcoming Injustice 2 DLC news

We’re still a few weeks away from the release of NetherRealm’s highly anticipated fighting game sequel Injustice 2, but that isn’t stopping NetherRealm studio head Ed Boon from teasing an upcoming announcement about the game’s post-launch DLC.

Boon recently announced via Twitter that NetherRealm will be disclosing new information about Injustice 2’s DLC pretty soon. Sadly, Boon didn’t clarify if “soon” meant before or after the game’s May 16 release date, though he did confirm that he himself won’t be a DLC character.

Lastly, Boon also put up a Twitter poll in which he queried fans on whether they’d want to see some of the DLC fighters from Injustice: Gods Among Us make a return or if they’d rather NetherRealm focused on brand new fighters only. For reference, Injustice: Gods Among Us had six DLC fighters in total: Lobo, General Zod, Batgirl, Scorpion (from Mortal Kombat), Martian Manhunter, and Zatanna.

Injustice 2 will be available on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
