DOOM Eternal, Elder Scrolls Online to get free upgrades on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X

If you own DOOM Eternal or Elder Scrolls Online on Xbox One or PlayStation 4, Bethesda is hooking you up. The publisher announced this week that players who own either game will get a free upgrade to the Xbox Series X or PlayStation 5 version of the game if you decide to buy one of the new consoles.

The decision comes after Microsoft has been touting its Xbox Smart Delivery feature where certain games on Xbox One get free upgrades to the Xbox Series X version of the game.

Bethesda is also committed to doing the same with any existing titles they decide to bring into the new generation of consoles. Although they don’t have a release window of when the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X version of the game will be released, they’re making sure both games will be backward compatible with the new consoles.
