Cyberpunk 2077 devs share new gameplay details, announce anime
In its first Night City Wire digital event, developers CD Projekt Red shared more details about their upcoming game, Cyberpunk 2077, one of the most anticipated games of the year, and some of the role-playing mechanics within its gameplay.
The presentation began with a new trailer, which developers said features scenes only from the game’s prologue, which features the first few quests. Check it out below:
Another reveal during the presentation is CD Projekt Red’s collaboration with Japanese anime studio, Trigger. The two companies will be working on an anime for Netflix called Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, launching in 2022. Check out the announcement video below:
The presentation also featured a breakdown of the new trailer featuring an explanation of some of the characters featured and some of the gameplay shown. The presentation also presented the game’s “Braindance” gameplay, a feature in the game that allows you to relive someone else’s experience in Night City. The feature is used to find clues and information in certain investigations the players may be trying to solve in the game.
