Cyberpunk 2077 delayed until September
One of 2020’s most anticipated games is getting pushed back. In a tweet and blog post, CD Projekt Red announced its highly anticipated game, Cyberpunk 2077 originally due out on April 16, 2020 is being pushed backed to fall 2020.
The company said the game needs more testing and polish and announced a new release date of September 17, 2020.
“We are currently at a stage where the game is complete and playable, but there’s still work to be done,” the studio said. “Night City is massive — full of stories, content, and places to visit, but due to the sheer scale and complexity of it all, we need more time to finish playtesting, fixing, and polishing. We want Cyberpunk 2077 to be our crowning achievement for this generation, and postponing launch will give us the precious months we need to make the game perfect.”
CD Projekt Red also said they will be updating fans more often with regular updates on the game’s development progress.
