Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time announced

Crash Bandicoot: Warped was released way back in 1998 and seemingly was the final game of the Crash Bandicoot trilogy. But with the recent resurgence of popularity to Crash, thanks to Activision releasing remastered and remade versions of the original trilogy, it looks like Crash’s story will continue.

In a trailer premiere, Activision announced Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, an official sequel to the original trilogy, is launching on October 2, 2020 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It’s a brand new game, built from the ground up and picks up where Warped left off where “after Neo Cortex, Dr. N. Tropy and Uka Uka were last stranded on a distant planet. After decades of fruitless attempts, the trio finally make their escape, ripping an Evil-Scientist-sized hole in the fabric of space-time in the process. Now all that stands between them and total dominion over the multiverse are two fuzzy marsupials from N. Sanity Island,” according to a press release.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time stands on the shoulders of the core precision gameplay we all fell in love with in the ‘90s,” said Paul Yan, Co-Studio Head at Toys for Bob, the studio developing the game. “This epic new adventure spans space and time, introducing new ways to platform that both long-time fans and new players alike will enjoy mastering. Get ready to fall in love with the mutant marsupials all over again!”

Players will also have the choice to play as Crash or Coco and later, Neo Cortex himself. Check out the reveal trailer below:
