Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War revealed, coming in November
Activision has finally revealed their next entry into the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, a direct sequel to the original Call of Duty: Black Ops, taking place in the 1980s. Set to launch on November 13 for current generation and new generation consoles when they launch, Black Ops Cold War will feature cross-play between all platforms, along with cross progression in all modes.
The single-player campaign takes players across the globe to places like Vietnam, Turkey, East Berlin, Soviet-era Moscow, and probably many more locations that were extremely volatile in the 1980s. Players will also cross paths with well-known figures like President Ronald Reagan as they try to stop the game’s antagonist, Perseus, as he attempts to “destabilize the global balance of power and change the course of history,” according to a press release.
In addition to the campaign, Black Ops Cold War will also feature an all-new Zombie Mode, a new multiplayer experience, which will be revealed on September 9, and new Cold War content added to Call of Duty: Warzone. There will also be a Battle Pass system in the game plus free post-launch content, like new maps and modes.
