Batman: Arkham Knight gets another minor delay

Originally Batman was supposed to be swooping in for his final Arkham adventure on June 2 but now Rocksteady has confirmed Batman: Arkham Knight is being delayed by a few weeks in order to ensure it is up to their standards.

Arkham Knight will now be available on June 23. Rocksteady confirmed the delay on Twitter and game director Sefton Hill offered a brief statement expressing his gratitude for fans’ patience:

"We're a developer that hates to make any compromises, so we are sorry to say this means it's going to be just a little bit longer until you can play the epic conclusion to the Arkham trilogy. Thanks so much from everyone at Rocksteady for your continued support. We are working as hard as we can to make you proud."

As a way to make up for the delay (and likely make the wait worse), Rocksteady also released a new 8-minute video for Arkham Knight titled “Officer Down” which shows off both the game’s hand-to-hand and vehicular combat.
