Attack on Titan game for consoles, PC is finally arriving in August

While the Attack on Titan Japanese manga series has been around since 2009, the fandom grew to another level when the anime series launched in 2013. The first game inspired by the anime, Attack on Titan: Humanity in Chains came out for Nintendo 3DS back in 2013, but Attack on Titan for consoles looks to be the official AAA game the fans have been waiting for.

The game already launched in Japan in February but will be arriving on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, PS Vita, and PlayStation 3 in the west on August 30.

For those unfamiliar with Attack on Titan, the story follows three young people who survive the destruction of their walled city by man-eating giants called Titans and join the Scout Regiment to battle them. The game will be based on the first season of the Attack on Titan anime, following the journeys of key characters and reliving the best moments from the show.
